Winterton - Horsey Dunes is a Site of Special Scientific Interest in Norfolk, covering 4.3 km². It is one of 140 SSSIs in the county. It is among the largest in the county. The surrounding countryside is part of the Norfolk Coast National Landscape and the Broads National Park.
The nearest railway station is Great Yarmouth, about 10 km to the south. Other nature reserves nearby include Martham Broad and Trinity Broads.
