Yetminster is a honey-coloured limestone village north of the Blackmore Vale, its long main street lined with unusually complete 17th-century houses built when the local wool and dairy trade did well. The medieval church of St Andrew has a chiming clock that marks the hours. It’s a genuinely quiet place, with a station on the Heart of Wessex line right in the village.
