Leith is Edinburgh’s old port, a mile or so downhill from the city centre and now one of its best places to eat and drink. The cobbled Shore, along the Water of Leith, is lined with waterfront restaurants and bars, and the Royal Yacht Britannia is moored at Ocean Terminal nearby. There’s a genuine dockside character to it, plus the towering Port of Leith Distillery on the waterfront. Easily reached by tram from Princes Street.
