A tidy village of limestone houses between Settle and Ingleton, Austwick makes a good base for the Norber erratics — big dark boulders of old gritstone left stranded on pale limestone by retreating ice, a short walk north. Clapham is the next village west, and the green lanes over to Feizor make lovely walking. Clapham station is about 3.5km to the west.
