St James’ sits at the heart of Clapham, keeping its older stone tower while the rest of the church was largely rebuilt in 1814. It’s a pleasant, unfussy village church rather than a grand one. Clapham is really the jumping-off point for the walk up Clapdale to Ingleborough Cave and Gaping Gill, so most visitors pass the church on the way. Open daily, and there’s a station just down the road.
