The Severn Valley Railway is a preserved steam line that runs sixteen miles along the river between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth, calling at Bewdley and several country halts on the way. It operates on set running days through much of the year, and fares apply. The Kidderminster end shares its site with the mainline station, so you can arrive by train and change straight onto steam.
