The Chequers is Cutnall Green’s surviving village pub, a beamed dining pub run since 2002 by Roger Narbett — for years the chef to the England football team, whose memorabilia hangs in a back room. The food is the draw here, fresh pub cooking with a bit of ambition, and there’s a garden. Hartlebury station is about 4km to the north-west.
