A long street of black-and-white timber-framed houses and Georgian brick runs through Chaddesley Corbett, in the countryside between Kidderminster and Bromsgrove. St Cassian’s church at one end is the only church in England to carry that dedication — largely Norman work of around 1150, with a font carved by the Herefordshire School of medieval masons. The street is a conservation area, free to wander at any time.
