Charles II is said to have sheltered here on the first night of his escape after the Battle of Worcester in 1651, and the pub takes its name from him. The Kings Arms is a black-and-white timber inn in the village of Ombersley, parts of it medieval, with a fine plaster ceiling bearing the royal arms. Droitwich Spa is the nearest station, a few kilometres to the east.
