Cut into the soft red sandstone below Kinver Edge are the Holy Austin Rock Houses, the last inhabited rock dwellings in England, lived in until the 1960s and now restored by the National Trust. The village runs along the foot of the wooded ridge, which the Trust also looks after — a fine high walk with wide views over the surrounding counties. Stourbridge Town station is about 6km to the east.
