Right on Anstruther harbour, the Scottish Fisheries Museum tells the story of Scotland’s fishing communities through nets, ship models, reconstructed interiors and a fleet of historic boats — some ashore in the galleries, some still afloat in the harbour outside. It’s a genuinely good couple of hours, especially in poor weather. There’s an admission charge; check the seasonal opening times before you go.
