Kellie Castle is a restored Fife tower house near Arncroach, and its walled garden is the real draw — an Arts-and-Crafts design full of old-fashioned roses, fruit and organically grown vegetables and flowers, laid out by the Lorimer family who took the castle on in the 1870s. It’s a gorgeous, unfussy sort of garden. National Trust for Scotland; open seasonally with an admission charge.
