Classic East Neuk fishing harbour.
The busiest of the East Neuk villages, Anstruther curls around a working harbour and makes a good base for the coast. The Scottish Fisheries Museum tells the story of the local fishing fleet, and the Anstruther Fish Bar has twice been named the UK’s Fish and Chip Shop of the Year. From the harbour, the May Princess runs seasonal boat trips out to the Isle of May seabird reserve between April and October.
