Ruskin Museum
Local highlightConiston’s Ruskin Museum tells two tales under one roof: the life of the Victorian critic John Ruskin, who lived across the water at Brantwood, and the village’s own past of copper, slate and Lakeland life. Its prize exhibit is the restored Bluebird K7, Donald Campbell’s ill-fated speed-record boat. Paid admission, in the centre of Coniston. Small, but done with real care.
