Middleport is the last working Victorian pottery in Stoke-on-Trent, a Grade II* factory that still turns out Burleigh ware on the banks of the Trent and Mersey Canal in Burslem. Saved from closure and restored a little over a decade ago, it keeps its original bottle kiln, its old moulds and the whole run of making, and you can take a guided tour of the works or just visit the shop and canal-side café. Longport station is about 400m to the west.
