Gladstone Pottery Museum
Local highlightThe last complete Victorian pottery factory left in Britain, kept as a museum in Longton. Its cobbled yard is ringed by the great brick bottle kilns that once fired bone china across the Potteries, and the workshops, engine house and slip room survive intact, telling the story of how the ware was made. Entry is paid. Longton station is only a few hundred metres away, which makes it an easy visit by train.
