World of Wedgwood
Local highlightWorld of Wedgwood is the firm’s visitor estate at Barlaston, on the site to which the pottery moved out of the smoke of the Potteries in the 1930s. You can tour the working factory, throw or paint your own piece in the studio, and see the company’s own museum, which holds one of the great collections of English ceramics. There’s a tearoom for a Wedgwood-china afternoon tea. Paid entry, with Barlaston station just up the road, under 1km to the south-west.
