Johnstons of Elgin has woven cashmere and tweed by the River Lossie for over two centuries, and still runs the cloth from raw fibre to finished piece on one site. Entry is free, with paid weaving tours that take you onto the mill floor, plus a large mill shop and a cafe. It’s about 1km from Elgin station.
