Covesea Lighthouse stands white and black above the skerries on the coast between Lossiemouth and Hopeman, built in 1846 by the Stevenson family who lit much of Scotland’s shoreline. It’s open seasonally for paid tours and climbs to the lantern. Elgin station is around 9km south.
