CBK Adventures, a Cullercoats paddling outfit, runs a Savotta Finnish tent sauna on the beach at Cullercoats Bay. Depending on tide and weather it stands at the bottom of the north ramp or over by the caves, so look for the green tents and the CBK flag. A sauna assistant keeps the log fire going, and you can hire a wetsuit to ease into the North Sea. Sessions run mainly from September to May, adults only.
