Platform 2 is a tiny bar squeezed into the old waiting room on Tynemouth Metro station, still trimmed with railway memorabilia. It pours an ever-changing range of local beers and cider, and you can hop straight off the Metro into it. A cheery little stop before or after a wander down to Tynemouth’s beaches and priory.
