A flight of fifteen locks carries the Shropshire Union Canal up through Audlem, and the towpath alongside makes for a cracking walk. You can follow the flight past the old mill and canalside pub, watching boats work their way up or down, then reward yourself in the village. It’s a gentle, satisfying stretch whether you fancy a quick mile or the full climb.
