Wybunbury is worth the trip for one strange sight: the leaning tower of St Chad, a 15th-century church tower left standing alone after the rest of the church was pulled down in the 1970s. It tilts noticeably, and back in 1832 the engineer James Trubshaw straightened it by digging out the ground beneath — an early use of the trick later applied to the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Nantwich station is about 4km to the west.
