Approximate location — this spot is pinned to the nearest village, so the exact point may be a little way off.

If you fancy something a bit different, Hack Green is a Cold War bunker in the fields south of Nantwich, once a top-secret regional government headquarters built to keep the country running after a nuclear strike. Its existence stayed under wraps until the early 1990s, and it opened as a museum in 1998. Inside you can explore the decontamination rooms, communications kit and a genuinely sobering set of exhibits on nuclear war. Nantwich station is about 4km to the north.
