Joule’s was a well-known Staffordshire brewing name that died out in the 1970s, revived in 2010 at Market Drayton by Steve and Chrissie Nuttall, who chose the town for its hard spring water drawn from a deep Triassic aquifer. The tower brewery, built to work by gravity in the old style, runs occasional tours, and there’s a taphouse — the Red Lion — in town. Check ahead for tour dates.
