Tucker's Grave Inn
Local highlightOne of only a handful of British pubs with no bar counter, this 18th-century Somerset cottage serves ale and cider straight from casks stacked in the window recess. CAMRA has named it best cider pub more than once, and little about it seems to change. It rewards a country walk, through nearby Cleaves Wood or on to the old village of Norton St Philip to the north-east.
