The Fishes sits on the western edge of Oxford at North Hinksey, a red-brick Victorian pub backed by woodland with a large garden running down towards a stream. It’s a dependable spot for lunch or a family afternoon, a short walk from the meadows below the ring road. Oxford station is about 1.5km north-east.
