Seafood leads at the Fenwick Arms, a dining pub with rooms on the old A6 in the Lune valley at Claughton — oysters, fish and shellfish are the thing, with generous Sunday lunches to match. It’s handy for the villages upriver like Hornby, and for Gresgarth Hall gardens a little to the south. Wennington station is around 6km north-east.
