The Highwayman is a handsome stone dining pub with a big garden at Nether Burrow, in the Lune valley near Kirkby Lonsdale. Run by Brunning & Price, it leans on regional produce and does a popular Sunday lunch. The seafood-focused Fenwick Arms is a little downriver. Wennington station is around 5km south.
