The Druid Inn takes its name from Rowtor Rocks, the gritstone outcrop directly above it, carved with steps and seats by a local curate and long tied to tales of druids. A pub since 1851, it closed briefly in 2026 before reopening under a simpler set-up. It sits in the stone village of Birchover, handy for the Nine Ladies stone circle up on Stanton Moor.
