This is where Jamie Oliver grew up. His parents Trevor and Sally Oliver ran the Cricketers for more than forty years, and he learned to cook in its kitchen. They sold the 16th-century village pub to the Chestnut group in 2021, and it still trades as a dining pub with rooms. Newport station is around 4km east.
