A canalside alehouse dating from 1798, the Cape of Good Hope sits right beside the top lock of the Cape Locks on the Grand Union, on the edge of Warwick. The original waterside building is now the front bar, hung with canal memorabilia, and there’s seating out by the busy double lock. It’s about a 15-minute walk from the town centre, and Warwick station is roughly a kilometre off.
