Flagstones, low beams and open fires fill this 17th-century inn in the middle of Welford-on-Avon, a few steps from the thatched cottages and the tall village maypole. It’s been a well-regarded dining pub for years, with a big garden and a changing list of ales. A good lunch stop if you’re walking the loop of the Avon here.
