The Apple Tree Inn sits in cider country at West Pennard, a few miles east of Glastonbury. The building goes back to the seventeenth century, with log fires, flagstone floors, beams and a skittle alley. Open to all for drinks and food. Castle Cary station is about 9km to the south-east.
