Glastonbury’s parish church carries the second-tallest tower of any parish church in Somerset — 134 feet, raised around 1475 and richly panelled with niches and pinnacles. It stands on the High Street, a short walk from the abbey ruins in Glastonbury; the Chalice Well and the Tor lie just beyond. Open to visitors. Castle Cary is the nearest mainline station, about 14km east.
