Usk Reservoir lies among conifer plantations in the quiet hills west of Trecastle, with a walking and cycling loop right round the water. It’s a peaceful, out-of-the-way spot, good for fishing and a flat few miles on foot or by bike. The road in is narrow and single-track. Llandovery is the nearest station, roughly 8km to the north-west.
