The chapel that gives this small Tywi-valley village its name — Bethlehem, taken from William Morgan’s Welsh Bible. Every December people post their Christmas cards from the village post office for the Bethlehem postmark, a habit that caught national attention back in the mid-1960s, and there’s a Christmas market too. The rest of the year it’s a quiet Nonconformist chapel in a fold of the hills below Garn Goch. Llangadog station is about 4km north.
