Historic gardens with rare cloister and yew tunnel.
Aberglasney is best known for its Cloister Garden, a rare Elizabethan-Jacobean courtyard with a raised parapet walk running round it — few like it survive in Britain. Inside the shell of the old mansion is the Ninfarium, a glazed garden of subtropical plants grown among the ruins. It lies in the Tywi valley in Carmarthenshire and is open to visitors for most of the year.
