Paxton’s Tower is a triangular neo-Gothic folly on a hilltop above the Tywi valley near Llanarthney, built around 1806–09 by Sir William Paxton as a tribute to Nelson after Trafalgar. It’s now in the care of the National Trust and free to walk up to at any time, with long views along the valley and out to the Brecon Beacons. Llandybie station is about 9km to the south-east.
