Y Polyn is a pub with a serious kitchen in the Tywi valley near Nantgaredig, the sort of place people drive to for lunch rather than drop into for a pint. It’s close to the National Botanic Garden of Wales, and Wright’s Food Emporium at Llanarthney is another good food stop nearby. Carmarthen station is about 8km west.
