A country park in the Tywi valley at Golden Grove, on the old Gelli Aur estate of the Vaughan family. The grounds hold a deer park and an arboretum laid out in the 1860s, with waymarked walks through the trees and views down over the river. The mansion above, finished in the 1830s, is not the draw — the woods and parkland are. Free to walk in. Ffairfach station is about 4km to the north-east.
