The yew in Defynnog churchyard is reckoned to be one of the oldest trees in Britain, its huge girth suggesting an age somewhere in the thousands of years. The church of St Cynog also holds an old stone carved with ogham script. The village sits near Sennybridge, west of Brecon. Llandovery station is around 17km to the west.
