Maen Llia is a Bronze Age standing stone on the moorland pass between the Llia and Senni valleys, close to the line of the Roman road Sarn Helen. It’s a striking slab, about 3.7m tall and leaf-shaped, standing alone on open ground. You can pull off the mountain road almost beside it, so it takes no more than a short walk to reach. Windswept and worth the detour if you’re crossing the moor.
