The churchyard at St Cynog’s holds one of the oldest yews in Britain, a vast hollow tree reckoned to be around 3,000 years old. Inside, a Roman inscribed stone is set in the porch. The church sits in the middle of Defynnog, just south of Sennybridge, and is usually open during the day.
