St Mary’s House & Gardens surrounds a 15th-century timber-framed house at Bramber, with five acres of gardens that take in topiary, herbaceous borders, a monks’ walk and a Victorian-style secret garden. The gardens open through the summer season on selected afternoons, with paid admission that includes the house. Shoreham-by-Sea station is about 6km to the south-east.
