St Nicolas at Old Shoreham was founded in Saxon times and rebuilt by the Normans, who left richly carved arches under the central tower. It stands near the old timber toll bridge over the Adur, across the river from Lancing College Chapel. Usually open. Shoreham-by-Sea station is about 1km to the south-east.
