St Botolph’s gives its name to the near-vanished hamlet of Botolphs above the Adur, a simple part-Saxon church with a long aisle-less nave. Faint fragments of medieval wall painting still show on the plaster, and it sits close to the river path walkers follow through the valley. Usually open. Shoreham-by-Sea station is about 4.5km to the south-east.
