Hive Beach is the shingle strand below Burton Bradstock, backed by steep cliffs of golden Bridport sandstone — handsome, but genuinely crumbly, so it’s unwise to sit at their foot. Most people come for the Hive Beach Cafe on the clifftop, known for its crab and local seafood. There’s a National Trust car park behind the beach, and the village is a short walk inland.
