A cedar sauna on the pebbles at Seatown, opposite the Anchor Inn, with the sea a minute's walk away
Save this place
Seatown’s sauna is a wood-fired cedar cabin on the beach below Golden Cap, right across from the Anchor Inn. Inside there’s L-shaped tiered seating for six and a window facing the sea. The owners keep it fairly gentle, usually around 70°C. To cool down you’ve got buckets of cold water or a short walk over the pebbles into the sea, and there are slip-on shoes to borrow for that walk. Full-moon sessions run once a month.
