A friendly village pub in Litton Cheney, in the Bride Valley behind Bridport, the White Horse draws walkers and cyclists off the surrounding lanes and does a decent local menu. Nothing showy — a warm welcome and a good plate of food after a day out. Maiden Newton station is about 9km to the north-east.
